When I met Holly and Andrew, I instantly knew two things – I was going to have a blast hanging out with them, and their wedding was going to be so much fun! We hit it off immediately over our shared love of JMU and quickly realized we had a lot of mutual friends. Last fall, we met up at a place close to home for us all (well, not for Matt but he enjoyed it regardless!) and shot their engagement session on the JMU campus and in downtown Harrisonburg. Even though I didn’t know either of them during my time at JMU, it was so fun to hear about their college experiences and see all that we had in common!
Their wedding day was nothing short of a blast! Both Holly and Andrew were so calm and excited to see each other – they were just READY to finally be married! As we approached the first look, both Holly and Andrew were quite emotional, which made me fall in love with my job all over again. There were many tears, many more laughs, and so much JMU spirit that I could hardly contain my excitement! It was a wonderful wedding from start-to-finish and it was an honor to be part of their day. Here are the favorites – enjoy!
The insanely talented Ali Wear, one of my closest friends, did Holly’s hair and makeup! It’s so much fun to work alongside friends on a wedding day!
As Matt and I approached Andrew’s hotel room, I noticed the room number was also coincidently their wedding day! 6-22!
LOVE this shot by Matt!
Holly, you are such a beautiful bride!
I love this so much.
Since Holly and Andrew did a first look, we budgeted over an hour for portraits! That allowed us time to get such a great variety of shots in a few different locations, including spending a good portion of our time at the marina up the road. It was such a blast to shoot with gorgeous sailboats in the background!!
Holly, you have the most gorgeous blue eyes!!
One of my all-time favorites for the day… shot by Matt!
Holly’s parents own a vintage Porsche 911 Targa and drove it down from New Jersey so we could use it for portraits!!
Of course, Matt went to town and had a mini car photoshoot while I was shooting portraits!
What a good lookin’ bridal party!
What a gorgeous setting for a wedding!
Holly and Andrew chose to serve a variety of pies in lieu of cake – so much fun!
Andrew’s Delta Chi brothers tossed him in the air!
As part of the backyard celebration, Holly and Andrew decided to serve tapas for dinner! Spilled Milk Catering did an AMAZING job and the food was beautiful and REALLY delicious!
How cute are these mini tacos?!
