Tasha & Aaron are MARRIED!

Tasha and Aaron are high school sweethearts.  It was so special for me to see so many pictures from their past on display at their reception.  Prom, graduations, fun dates… these two have quite a history together!  They are the type of couple that you know just “gets” each other – they’ve spent so many years together that it just makes sense.  They are two fun-loving and incredibly sweet people, and together they make quite a team!  Their day was filled with so much laughter and so many sweet, personal moments.  It was really quite beautiful.

Tasha is an artist – an AMAZING artist!  Her mom is a designer, and the two of their creative brains together produced one of the most beautiful DIY weddings I have ever seen!  Their attention to detail was simply unparalleled.  I cannot wait for you to see these amazing details!!

When Tasha and I planned her wedding day timeline, she told me that in addition to getting ready at her parent’s house, she also wanted to do the first look there, having Aaron see her for the first time as she came down the stairs.  Many years ago, in that same house, as Tasha got ready for prom, she became really nervous to come down those same stairs and see Aaron.  She ended up sneaking down a back staircase and greeting him after stalling as long as possible.  Her wedding day would be different.  She was so READY to see him, so excited.  And just like in high school, her sweetheart waited for her at the bottom of the stairs.  Except this time, she was so eager to greet her love, and they shared their first look on a staircase that is part of their history.  I just LOVE that!

Tasha’s little sister, Nicole, fought a couragous battle against cancer.  She went to be with the Lord in 2006, but she is still just as much a part of Tasha’s family today even though physically she is no longer with us.  Nicole’s favorite stuffed animal was this adorable dog named “Doggy” and he was all dressed up for the special occasion of Tasha and Aaron’s wedding day!

Tasha’s bouquet had little pictures of Nicole attached to it.

Aaron is a technical director at a theatre company in Birmingham.  I LOVED his cufflinks!

You can only IMAGINE my excitement when I walked into a room full of H’s!!!  I’ve never seen an initial used so much in such creative ways, and it just HAPPENED to be a 1 in 26 chance that it was also my last initial.  I. WAS. PUMPED.

Tasha made ALL of her signage.  SO amazing and SO talented!

LOVE that high school picture:)

Tasha knew I’d love the H’s so she let me take one home!

All lit up!

Father-Daughter dance

Aaron and his mom had the CUTEST Mother-Son dance I’ve ever seen!

The Best Man came prepared with a list of everything he knew he wasn’t allowed to say – hilarious!
